Pre-race routine:

drove 2 1/2 hours only to find it snowing when i arrived. event canceled

Comments:

can't control the weather. The RD made the right decision. Still did get some riding in later and hung out at the BBQ for some food and beer. I'll try again next year. :)
What would you do differently?:

I would not have driving all the way to Buena Vista had I known it was snowed out.
