Comments: The swim was my easiest. Came out in the top third. What would you do differently?: Could place myself better before the start, I had to pass a whole bunch of people and that cost me some time. But hey its my first tri. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Didnt have much practice with transitioning from swim to bike. Could have gone more smoothly. My wetsuit got stuck in the zipper during the transition, and that cost me some time fiddling around with the dammed thing. What would you do differently?: Me being late to the race cost me some time in the transition, I could not setup properly, and I hardly had any space to setup in. ![]() Bike
Comments: Bike felt weak in the beginning. Finished really strong towards the end. What would you do differently?: Practice transitioning into the bike, I had trouble clipping in to the shoes. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Awful transition. I completley ran by my spot and had to run back (DOH!) . What would you do differently?: Be more vigiliant of where my transition spot is. ![]() Run
Comments: Really weak, had trouble keeping pace during the entire run. Though I did catch a second wind at the halfway point. What would you do differently?: More run practice... ![]() Post race
Warm down: Quick strech. Then had to walk back to the car, a slow .75 mile walk. What limited your ability to perform faster: My first race, I really dont have anything to gauge my performance by. Last updated: 2005-02-07 12:00 AM

Didnt have much of a pre-race routine, I was in a rush and barley made it in time to setup and get my wetsuit on.
Did some quick streches, nothing fancy. Warmed up the arms for the swim, but the water was not that cold.
