Disappointing performance--tried going out fast in the center and paid for it in HR and breathlessness. Slowed down and felt much better but not before the damage was done. Navigation was not too good--trouble seeing through goggles even though siting was OK.
What would you do differently?:

Practice going out fast then settling in.

About 2 minutes faster than my last, though I was hoping for a little better. Bad swim contributed, but bike and run were each slightly faster than I've done. Need to focus on speed work next season; would love to be mathematically MOP or better as a next goal; just a little faster would put me there.
