Swim
Comments: This was over in a blink. Wish it was a longer swim, and wish I was entered in a faster group. What would you do differently?: Change entry time to 3:30, that way I wouldn't have been slowed up so much. Transition 1
Comments: Great transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: This is was the best bike segment I've ever had! Can't believe that in 1 year, I'm moving up so quickly. I was able to really push for this whole portion. Very pleased! What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: I felt very stiff coming off the bike, so I walked most of the way to the transition area. I was pretty slow with getting things ready for the run, but not too bad overall. What would you do differently?: Run with my bike after dismounting. Run
Comments: It took me over half the run to find my legs. But when I did, I was able to reel in a few runners that had passed me earlier. Much slower than I had done at Mission Man, but really cranked it out in the bike. What would you do differently?: Loosen my legs by riding in a lower gear for the last 1/4 mile of the race, and stretched out my legs. Post race
Warm down: Light stretching, drank a Gatorade and ate a banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Felt tight and stomach was feeling bad a first part of the run. Probably because of the CytoMax I drank that morning. Event comments: My goal going in was to break into the top 100, and I did! #99 of 350! Once again, I'll be back next year.
