Subject: South Coast Triathlon - Classic : Official Thread This will be my first Olympic tri. Have done a couple of sprints and really enjoyed them but just back from a two and a half week holiday with no real training (pulled a calf muscle on my first run, no bike obviously and limited to a 12m pool ) and eating way too much. I always drink too much even when not on holiday. Just to make matters worse I started a new job on return so this week has been hectic. However 1750m swim today has been reassuring. Legs are still dodgy so run training will be scant. Not so worried about the bike - I've discovered I love cycling. Ill prepared but I'm going to go for it. I'm 51, ex rugby player, new to triathlon this year. This is stupid. But fun. |
