route samples

Is there a simple way (either within BT or elsewhere) to increase the number of samples on a route within BT's Route Tracker?

Alternatively, I'm importing from a Garmin device, so I could do it there before importing to BT.  So, I'd also welcome suggestions on how to do that as well.

I'm asking because I'd like to see if the total climbing estimates provided by Route Tracker converge as the number of samples along a route is increased.
