doing this report in august...cant remember lots about my warm up. did some easy running with pickups

Comments:

very hot and humid. course only had water at first station. (supposed to be water and gatorade every mile) around mile 5 they had some gallons, so had to pick up a dirty cup to get a drink. Ran as hard as I could in the conditions...thought I was around a 8:20 or so pace. did not walk at all, as many, many did.

What would you do differently?:

bring my own drink.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

heat, lack of water

Event comments:

very poor planning for a huge race. also NO age group awards??? what the heck??? expensive race, nothing to drink. that said, will probably do next year, as this same disaster can not happen twice!! made the news for several days...in a very poor way!
