Swim
Comments: Sighting was very good for most and very bad towards end. Tried to push a bit more in swim because previous swims had been too comfortable. What would you do differently?: Learn to swim in a straight line. Transition 1
Comments: wetsuit strippers really close to exit ramp. didn't have top of suit off fast enough. Had to pack up all swim stuff so nothing was left in T1 except swim bag. Bike
Comments: Legs felt sort of tired even at start. Did fairly well considering my legs didn't feel really strong. Did pretty well on making sure to eat and drink enough. Tried to keep backing off pace some, being ok with going a little slower than I wanted. Still probably a little too hard for a run following. Transition 2
Comments: All T2 gear in run bag. had to dump everything out. What would you do differently?: set out T2 if I could (I could have). get gloves off at end of bike, not in transition. Run
Comments: forced drinking and eating pretty well. last two laps were hard. Last one was really, really hard. Mental challenge just to keep going for last miles and minutes. What would you do differently?: back of bike even more. stronger run! Post race
Warm down: walked and then sat. Feet were numb and incredibly plainful getting blood back into them. What limited your ability to perform faster: Overtrained leading to frequent illness in 6 weeks prior. Run really sucked but race was pretty good. I couldn't have done any more than I did so it's all good. Event comments: Another good race put on by High-Five. Would have liked a protein drink after like chocolate or honey milk.
