The Michigan Team In Training program of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is currently seeking a run/cycle coach for our Fall 2006 Season program for Walt Disney World’s Triathlon. This is a Southeastern Michigan area position that will be responsible for coaching beginner/intermediate/advanced triathletes to complete an Olympic-distance triathlon (.9 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike and 6.2 mile run). We are trying to fill this position immediately; interested candidates should call or email to express your interest as soon as possible.
Responsibilities include:
Creation of training schedule, using guidelines provided.
Coordinating and leading group trainings every Saturday (some Sundays may be offered, trainings typically take place at local area metro parks such as Kensington and Stony Creek, and Hines Drivein Northville)
Participating in TNT Recruitment meetings, Kickoff meeting and team get-togethers in late April and early May, and other times between May-September.
Meeting with participants to evaluate their training needs.
Presenting training clinics or recruiting speakers for training clinics on topics such as gear/apparel, injury prevention, bike maintenance, and nutrition.
Being available to participants during the week by phone, voicemail, or email to answer training related questions.
Providing weekly team emails and/or handouts with training advice/motivation.
Requirements include:
Strong background and experience in cycling and running.
Ability to do basic bike maintenance and repair.
Must have completed an Olympic-distance triathlon (either locally or out-of-state)
The ability to motivate and educate beginners.
The availability to train with the team every Saturday between May 13th and September 24thwith the exception of holiday weekends including Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Availability to attend event weekend and support all TNT participants the day of event.
Compensation: This is a paid, contract position through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is based on the number of completers for the program.

This is a Southeastern Michigan area position that will be responsible for coaching beginner/intermediate/advanced triathletes to complete an Olympic-distance triathlon (.9 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike and 6.2 mile run). We are trying to fill this position immediately; interested candidates should call or email to express your interest as soon as possible.

Must be lifeguard certified.We will reimburse any candidates who need to get certified prior to the first group training in January.
Should have completed an Olympic-distance triathlon (either locally or out-of-state)
