![]() Run
Comments: With it being both a run and walk, there was traffic throughout the whole event. On many occasion we had to run through the snow because people were taking up the entire width of the sidewalk. Although in some spots, there wasn't much sidewalk that had been plowed. Fortunately, I had planned ahead and brought ice grippers to put over my shoes. They helped, but weren't good enough to make a huge difference. Four of us from work set out for some bragging rights. I knew it would come down to Jake and I and it would probably come to a sprint finish. As we came into the final corner, we lapped my wife Sue, and I got caught behind her. It slowed me up, but who knows if it would have made a difference. Jake won, about one step ahead of me. He said that if the line had been ten feet further, I would have beat him. There were arwards for #1 & 2, male and female. The guy who won second was not far in front of us. There are no official results. The girl who was first we used as a pacer for most of the race. She was awesome. What would you do differently?: Pick a race that doesn't have snow. Not pay so much attention to what Jake was doing, but take control of the race myself. ![]() Post race
