Comments: Focused in on a well known 70 year old racewalker and did my best to catch him. I never did but it helped me keep my pace up. Talked to him after the race and he wanted to get a pair of my Loco racing flats. What would you do differently?: Given my condition (cold) not much. I was at 2 minutes the first mile I just ran out of steam. Post race
Warm down: Stretched alittle and walked a bit What limited your ability to perform faster: Being sick with a cold didn't help. I didn't seem to get too winded but just didn't have my normal snap. Up @ 5 am made a bagel with ham a cheese, stopped at Holiday for some Crangrape juice and ate on the way. (also had my vitamins, Naproxen, and Joint Soother).
Stretched for 10 minutes and did some short intervals about 1/4 of the way around the lake and back.
