Run
Comments: Very tough for me today. I have not been training at all, and not racing either. Course was VERY crowded, and since I got to the start area kinda late, I was with the slower runners. spent alot of effort getting around people, blocked, etc. Pitiful that my pace was like my Boston qualifier marathon pace. What would you do differently?: I have to get my bootie in gear and get running again. I love to race, but do not like running slow. Off season running is usually great...throwing in a race here and there. Post race
Warm down: up to the expo in Festival Hall, bought another event shirt. This race had THE coolest long sleeve red shirt!! What limited your ability to perform faster: No training. No excuse for it. Event comments: embarassed myself with such a poor performance. But...this was an inaugural event, in a city I love, in my home state. To run on the Pier was great, shirt was great...will definitly do this race again next year. Last updated: 2011-11-11 12:00 AM

Drive down to Navy Pier...drive went well, but once I parked I realized I had somehow cut it too short. Left my hat in the car, didn't have time to go get it. Rushed through packet pick up, potty stop then out onto the Pier where the race had already started. the 10kers were lined up after the 10 milers.
