Comments: I went out really fast, but was still able to finish strong. I know that I couldn't have held that pace for very long, but it was fun to hear the time called out. I had to remind myself that I had a race the next day and to not overdue it. What would you do differently?: Not schedule a race for the next day and go all out not having to worry about it. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Ran to my car to get my camera. Kept moving and cheered on my teamates through the finish. I stretched out afterward and put biofreeze on for a quick refresh. Made sure to eat a protien bar afterward for quick muscle repair. Event comments: This is the first race that I ever tried a few years ago and I've been hooked on it ever since. All women participants and it's just a good healthy enviroment for all these ladies. Great course and lot's of fun at the awards ceremony. The planning committee really knows what they are doing. Woke up and had breakfast right away. Found the right outfit for the weather; running shorts, light underarmor, and a ligh pull over. Then went to the race about 10 minutes away. Picked-up packet and ran to the car for a quick warm-up.
Ran down and back the drive where the event would start and finish.
