Comments: I did achieve my goal time of under two hours, just barely! I finished in 223rd place out of nearly 1900 women. My net time was 1:57:05. =) Overall, I'm pleased. Miles 1-8 were great. Miles 9-10 were a little tough - my feet had started to hurt. Mile 11 was pretty hard, mile 12 was harder still and mile 13 ... my head was starting to spin. I really, really did not think I would make it to the finish. But I did ... and I even had a tiny bit left for a sprint at the end to pass a couple of people at the last second. It was a hard race, but then again, it should have been. If it were easy, it wouldn't be worthwhile. What would you do differently?: Not run in shoes that had trudged through six inches of rain for an hour the week before ... um, duh ... Post race
Warm down: Walked around a little. Ate something small, tried to fight the urge to lie down on the parking lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: My feet hurt! Shoes sucked. Last updated: 2005-12-31 12:00 AM
