Comments:

I pushed until my abdomen began to cramp, then I backed off. I walked up hills when my walk would be faster than my pitiful jog, but hammered the flats. It was raining and I wore my lime green rain jacket, but it was hot. It did keep my headphone wires from flopping around.
What would you do differently?:

warm up 10-15 minutes, not worn jacket
Post race
Warm down:

jog 8 minutes

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hills

Event comments:

Course is too hard to get much of an idea about training. Course organizers seem to feel "their signature mark" is the hills, but it discourages participation from beginner and advanced running alike, because it doesn't offer much in return for a boring and hard course.

Last year, we did not do the most difficult hills, but it was very hot. The race was one month later in the year in 2005. My time was five minutes slower last year.
