Comments: Forgot all of the hard learned lessons of marathon training. Started out too fast and did not remember to eat any of the gels that I carried. I fell well off my 8:30/mile pace on the final lap finishing in the high 12s. Next race, I'll start out more conservatively and EAT, EAT EAT! What would you do differently?: Eat at regular 5K intervals. ![]() Post race

First Trail Race and longest trail run ever by a whole lot so I got up early ate Cliff Bar and Power Bar, drank eLoad, had a Hammer Gel right before start.
None
