Comments: Ran maybe just a bit harder than I should have on the first half. I was feeling good and went out ahead of the 1:55 pace group. They caught me at about mile 8 and by mile 9 I was thinking I was going to get dropped, but got a second wind at about mile 11 and passed them back up. The last half mile is a great finish, nice and downhill I had a great finish. What would you do differently?: Get back in better shape, especially losing some weight.  Post race
Warm down: Had to go to a baseball game, so I pretty much went from the finish line to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: I really did as well as I could have expected seeing as I hadn't run more that ~7 miles for a couple of months and really didn't train for a half at all. Event comments: Very well run race (though I felt sorry for the poor guy singing the nation anthem before the race, maybe the worst performance ever). Last updated: 2012-05-23 12:00 AM
