Subject: Thanksgiving day ridesAnyone have any interesting Thankdgiving day rides in their area? Our local shop puts on the Bash on the Baug ride starting at 7AM Thanksgiving morning. A 12 mile easy mtb ride. We ride the Quinebaug river down one side cross a bridge and ride back the other. The best part is 10 miles out there is a camp fire with a couple cooked turkeys with all the fixings from cranberry sauce, beer, squash, pies, muffins, beer, stuffing, wine etc. Really good time. The fire is out in the woods on the side of the river then a two mile ride in. The hard part, coming home for a family meal after eating a full dinner for breakfast. Great times, expecting 60 cyclist tomorrow.. |
