Light breakfast at 4:15AM .. oatmeal and coffee.
Event warmup:

1 mile run at 8:00 pace.

Comments:

Was hoping to break 20 minutes, but really that was going to be a stretch. Started a little slower than usual, but had a strong 3rd mile. Overall, effort felt pretty hard .. I was definitely uncomfortable throughout.
What would you do differently?:

Push a little more .. probably could have been another 15-20 seconds quicker relative to my current fitness level.
