Clicking into a thread goes to last post

Hi there,
When I click into a thread I want to read, even a multi-page thread, I'm taken all the way to the very last post. Is there a way to turn this off? I'd like to read what the original author posted and work my way down the replies through page 1, then to page 2, etc.
