Comments: I started off with my wife Emily who was doing the 10k (they start at the same time and break off at mile 3). Congested start but spread out pretty quickly. I was trying to keep a 8:55/mile pace to get a PR and was doing good staying below for the whole race. This course is flat and fast. At around mile 9, there is a good mile of about .75mi long. You get paid back on the way down but it will make you use some effort. I felt great on this run and pushed throughout. About a mile I could hear the music and just kept pushing. What would you do differently?: Nothing  Post race
Warm down: Finished and grabbed a beer with Emily. We met-up with some other friends and got some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: This a a fun race with a great crowd. I did get that PR so I was way happy! Last updated: 2016-11-05 12:00 AM

Gluten free bread and a banana. Logistically it was a pain to get to the starting line and NOT enough bathrooms
