Really nice route through the country roads around Reidsville. Rolling hills and only one or two real "climbs". After the first 8 miles, I was essentially riding solo since this was a smaller event. There was one aid station on the course, but I rode past it. The way it was set up would have required me to come to a full stop and dismount to get any water or food.

Nothing. I used this as a training ride for Gulf Coast 70.3.

Did some light stretching once I got into the finish area.


For a small, local event, it was managed very well. There was a really good finish area with food and music and activities for families that just wanted to hang out for the day. It was combined with a 5k, but the bikes went out 30 minutes early, so there was no congestion or confusion with the run. I will be going back next year as this fits in very well for my triathlon training schedule.
