Run
Comments: Run went great. I had never only run 1 loop at a time, usually doing 2-2.5 laps. My fastest ever lap was 1:24, so I thought 1:18 would be great. Perfect weather for the day. Was feeling good, so I decided to race instead of just run. Felt really good, and kept it at threshold the entire way. My GPS wasn't working so I don't know if I slowed much at all or not, but felt like a very steady effort. With the way the trail is laid out with lots of switchbacks,I could see a guy in front of me and a another behind me, about a minute in either direction. I had to push so I wouldn't get caught and I thought that I might be able to catch the guy in front. Ended up staying in the same spot, but finished strong, and couldn't believe my 1:12 finish. A good 6-7 min fafster than expected, and I felt great doing it. Hopefully I didn't over do it for the 50 this weekend. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walkd around, ate, and got my award What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing, It was as good as I could've done, I truly feel Event comments: Very small race, but great trails, good organization. Will definitely do it again. Last updated: 2019-04-03 12:00 AM
