Perspective....

It's funny, to me, the things I want to know as I think about what the next few months could look like, and as I work to reassure my kids that everything will be fine.....and to not add to the stupid.

12,306,000 people have died so far in 2020 worldwide according to the worldmeter.  On average, 150,000 people die per day, at least according to estimates.  So, on average, 11,550,000 people have died by march 17th.  So far, about 7400, give or take a couple hundred, have died from this Coronavirus in 2020. 

I suppose it's a big deal, to those who love you, if you are one of the 12,306,000 this year.....but it won't be any bigger deal (or lesser) next year, or 10 years from now, or whenever our turn is.....there will be about 7,500,000,000 people who won't even know you lived.

The point to my kids?  Enjoy the day.
