Comments: Felt strong throughout the race,took energix gels at 45 mins,1h.25,then a caffine gel at 11.5 miles,but was taken by surprise at mile 12 by the hills,really took it out of my legs,ran a 10.07 on that mile,by far the slowest of the day--got a second wind when the caffine kicked in and ran a 9.20 last mile What would you do differently?: Nothing apart from lose another 10kg-was hoping to run 2.10-2.15,manage 2.07 so am delighted Post race

I luckily remembered to put the clock forward so i was up on time,slept really badly last night which is very unusual,just ate a banana for breakfast,then started hydrating with a warm up drink
Just a little gentle stretching and the 1/4 mile walk to the start
