Comments: i felt rushed at the start and was poorly hydrated and not fully treated for my asthma. i started out too fast and ran about a 9.5 minute first mile then slowed considerably for the final two miles. walked up some of the hills but did push to run up many of them at least part way. What would you do differently?: hydrate hydrate hydrate. use my inhaler well in advance of the race. Post race

rounded at the hospital, came home, had half of a protein shake at 815, realized i had to sign in by 830, changed clothes, rushed to event. used my inhaler 3 times but only about 15-20 minutes before the event began. no hydration in advance of the race, no gel
