Comments: Decided to run with Lisa. Not trying to outpace her, just going her speed. Probably could have gone faster, but don't know if it would have helped, and we had a lot of fun laughing about how horrible the up and down course was, and how we had not trained properly for such hills. What would you do differently?: Train for hills. Lots and lots of hills.  Post race
Warm down: Nice meal afterwards, and got a guy in town to unlock the truck. Event comments: The race was great, well organized and lots of fun. Just remember to train for lots of hills. The Bohemian ALPS are called that for a reason. Whew! Last updated: 2007-09-20 12:00 AM

Locked the keys in the truck and didn't tell Lisa until she was well into her runner's high, round mile 12.
The oath before starting this death march was something like, "Its a foolish thing I am about to do, but I am going to do it anyway! If I get hurt, its my own damned fault!"
