Yoga

I went to a yoga class once where there was this guy in classic running shorts. I got stuck behind him and let's just say I paid the price for coming out of downward dog too early. DON'T do that.

Wear clothes that won't get in your way and won't flip up if you're upside down. I wear tight pants and a tank top that won't ride up. I have a book about Ashtanga and the guy is wearing what looks like cycling shorts/jammers in the photo. This guy's in similar attire. I do yoga daily and I don't understand why they said to wear tight clothes! You just want something comfy that you can move and bend in. Something that you won't be self conscious of bending over in, you don't want your rear hanging out (and niether does the person behind you as was mentioned!). Some sweat pants or longish shorts would do the trick. I wear prana crop pants, same pants I use for rock climbing. The brand doesn't matter, they are just sturdy, comfy and were on sale.

sweat pants and a t-shirt would be fine. i have some 'yoga' tights that are a cotton/spandex blend. they work really well.

Sweatpants and t-shirt the few times I've done Yoga. Just gotta make sure that the waist is tied off tightly - no PlumberYoga. Oh, and clip your toenails - barefoot grips the mats the best... I would have been mortified had I not just clipped them

One problem I find with wearing baggy clothes, is when we are doing some of the standing poses like tree pose where I am supposed to balance on one leg and the other leg is bent and resting on my inner thigh, my foot slips down, or my pants start to slip down.

I personally like to wear spandex under my baggy pants and for the standing poses I just take them off.

The best for me are those spadex long pants and fitted shirts, not too tight -nor baggy-. You have to be confortable because you'll be doing a lot of challenging posses. On the same token you do not want to be concious that you are showing your underware -or who knows what part of your body breaking- your concentration.

I think i have the right clothes for it. Hopefully i'll like it and will go back.

wear something that you are comfortable in and that if you bend over no one will see mr. you know who; enjoy your calss!
