How does the polar HRM work with the PC Coach. It enters all the info for you?

Are you able to download interval times (range limits, etc) from the PC to the HRM?

I'm doing everything I can to prevent me from buying the 410 on impulse (I've looked, it's $188). I'm tired of training and checking my HR every 5 minutes and then "averaging" the 10 or so numbers at the end to find avergae HR (It's tolerable. I'm not gonna cry all night if I have to keep doing it this way, but it is inonvenient ... I sound like such a baby).

It seems that there is so much more to PC Coach that I am unable to capitalize on b/c I have just an "instantaneous" HRM. No average, or time spent at certain ranges, etc.

I guess what I am asking for is a favor ... either talk me into or talk me out of buying the 410. =)

Seriously, I am interested in all comments. RyanB.

I have the s610i. Before I said I din't see much use with the PC Coach. That was because it was an application called Proten, NOT PC Coach. So sorry, can't give you any info on that. I can download my exercises and see intervals, time in zone, graphs, reports, calendars etc with the Polar Precision PErformance app.

Well with the 410 it will show your intervals and graph it out, and I really like it. I only have one problem with my 410-----------it appears that my 3 year old decided that he needed to hide it from his DAD! I have been without it for about a week and a half and it's just not the same when using pc coach. It is nice to download your workout to your watch and upload the data for that workout. If you are serious about using PC coach, I don't think you will regret the purchase. One other thing I have used it for is at a race. I trip the lap button at the timing devices and when I get home I can see my race graphed out and compare it to how I felt. I honestly rarely look at my heart rate when racing unless I feel out of control.

My advice is to go for it if it doesn't financially set you back.

My two cents!

I like the PC Coach more and more. My wife splurged and got me the S720i for Christmas. It measures cadence and syncs with PC Coach. For the low price of another $300 bones I could even check pedal power and all of that. If you can take the dollar hit, you should do it. I havent regretted it. I really think PC Coach has been instrumental to me sticking with this. Every time I log onto the computer there is the icon - demanded that I get in the workout and graph it. Man, this sport can get expensive can't it?

I can't afford anything over the 410. I need to spend the other money for race registration. One of my races already closed. I may not get to do any sprint distance races. I may get to do only oly races (I'm fine with that) .. but if I want to race in Aug/Sept I may have to do some 1/2 IM's. I'm kinda looking forward to that, if that's what it comes down to.

I've almost got my wife talked into letting me (sad, isn't it?) get the S710 (02 720?). I found it for 234 bucks. If that's too much then I'll get an older model.

This may cause me to do more late summer races than early summer races. This might be a blessing in disguise. We're having another child in April, so perhaps May wouldn't be the best time to race anyhow.

Thanks for the imput folks.
