Hello eyone, my name is glen and I am a triathaholic. I caught the itch last august and did 2 events and can't wait for the water to get arm (tirewverdh or the pool) and the fun to start.I have been "lurking" for a couple of weeks so I guess it is time to introduce myself and formally say hi! I did 2 sprints last august and september along with a few road races and a marathon (my first, ouch). I am scheduled for 2 sprints,2 olys and a 1/2 iron for this season. It is nice to see you all working toward similiar goals. SO much of what I have found on websites is geared toward pro's or super age groupers.
You folks have a great site! and a lot to offer each other. Great ideas and thoughts are developed.
Thanks again and look forward to sharing

Welcome Glen--

Cold water?? Sooo sorry to hear about that! I wouldn't know a thing about that out here in sunny California!! hehehe

Actually I'm from the Bay Area which is the Bermuda Triangle of warm weather in California! Brrrr. I just did my first marathon ever and am stepping up to a 1/2 IM this year (just paid my registration yesterday... $195!! ouch!!) so I hear where you're coming from!

Look forward to hearing about your progress!

hi,
No I didn't know . I have only been following the baystate website, but I don't have the time to travel off cape. . The support locally would be great for long training sessions. Buds would help, the comraderie kept me going during marathon training, couldn't have done it without a partner.
I f you could, pass along the info, Iwould like to look into it. I am on the upper cape, but I can travel around.
thanks glen

hi,
The water here gets to a peal about midsummer in the 70's, but I hope to hit the water in another month with a wetsuit, (for verrrry short swims, just getting tired of the pool) The marathon was definitly a physical ouch but the financial ouch was the 1/2 iron reg. fee, very ouch.
thanks for the welcome gr
