Anyone else get hit with the storms that came through this afternoon?
AJ and I spent the day on the neighbors boat and talked about how much we need to get our boat in the water.

Storm came through and the neighbors rotten tree snapped and completely crushed the boat. The trailer bent and the hull was crushed into the ground.

Tons of damage in the area, but no one got hurt.

Insurance adjusted should be out tomorrow, but the during the initial conversation it appears that the boat was not covered. We will see what happens since it was the neighbors tree that did the damage.

We took a 10 minute drive and saw at  least 2 houses with large trees on them. The neighbor had a tree fall on her borrowed truck as she was driving.

My losses are small compared to theirs.

Bummer

As you say, thankfully no one was hurt.

Wind was big up here during the "second" wave (in NB), but no damage that I noticed...and now the sun is shining.

I had to reread this a couple of times to make sure that you and AJ were NOT in YOUR boat when this happened!  Awwww, carp!

That's some scary stuff, Craig.  VERY glad that no lives were injured.  That truck incident is frightening.

Bummer on the boat.

We didn't get any storm damage, exactly - but our roof sprung a leak and part of or office ceiling fell in. At least it was just the plaster skim coat, and the attic above is unfinished. Could have been worse, eh?
