If anyone thinks the campaign against 'toxic masculinity' is going to change men's behavior I submit they do not understand men at all.
Is Gillette suggesting that grilling is toxic masculinity? LOL Ok, I have to admit, in 31 years of marriage we have always had a grill in the back yard and not once in 31 years has my wife ever grilled anything! Why not? Because I like to grill out and she does not.
The idea that we can 'change' the way we were pre-wired is ridiculous. As far as rearing (as opposed to genetics ), we are a product of our environment with our parents having the biggest and most lasting impact.
I think once again, a company decided it needed to make a 'statement' and shot themselves in the foot. I hope the shareholders vote out the idiots at the P&G board for allowing this. How about this, make and sell good razors and leave social issues alone. |
