Shimano Ultegra 10 spd cranks brand new, double, never been used: $175 includes BB
Shimano Ultegra front (2) and rear Derailleurs: $30 for front, $60 for rear
Syntace lifter kit: $10

T3 Aero bars - pretty lightweight set of aerobars - low aero profile - good for an aggressive position. Retail these are $300- I paid $275 and am willing to part with them for $100 - the bars are cut down - so I would say if you are over 6 foot they might be too small but under 6 foot, they will work fine.

Power Tap for Sale:
I am selling my Power Tap PRO. The PT is two years old and has functioned flawlessly for me. It is on a 32 spoke D Swiss wheel, very light but durable. The software can be downloaded from the Cycle-Ops website for free although at this point I would upgrade to the Cycling Peaks software as it has many more features.

Cost of new Power Tap with similar wheel set up: $999.00
Cost of my used Power Tap: $800 or best offer
Why I am selling: I have upgraded to an Ergomo Power Meter: www.thepowermeter.com

Please email me directly if you are interested, thanks.

Hi Mike,

I train and race with PT with great results.

Why do you consider this an upgrade

Geoff - a couple of reasons:

1. I can train and race with power without having to worry about having two wheels with power - my power unit is in the bottom bracket. I don't need aero wheels with a PT built into nor do I need a disc cover.

2. Weight savings of about 1 lb.

3. More live info on the Ergomo Pro computer: IF, TSS, and NP while I ride. You can't get that on the PT. I also get current grade, how much I have climbed as well.

Check out www.thepowermeter.com - lots of good info on there about why Ergomo is the way to go.

The 1lb is very interesting!

I have 2 pt's one on my training wheel and 1 on my HED Stinger 90. I use a HED 3c front.

I can understand that more information is valuable, expecially at the level your at.

The only information that I use on the pt is watts and cad. I compete at Olympic and train for the distance with watts over time.
Example: for Olympic I train ( lots of intervals ) so I'm able to hold constant 285w for 1 hour.

I dont care about hills, I keep 285w going up ( as people pass me and blow up) and keep 285w down this is why my big ring is a 55.

Anyways, I'm going to take a look at it, let us know what gains you achieve.

Thanks, Geoff

Geoff - I have seen some good gains with the Ergomo - something like 240 FTP to 275 since Feb. I should be around 285 in another 4 weeks. That's my goal!

Using the NP is great as you'll know how even you are holding the interval and you can get the IF for the entire ride which is great. Since you are doing Olympics my opinion is you should be doing some FTP + 30% intervals - not just right at FTP. And on the hills, learn to drill it in training so in the race you can go right at FTP +10%. That will create some seperation from other riders. :-)

Hey Mike,

I was looking at Ergo for this winter and my big draw back was having t buy a new crank (I just bought Dura ace). What did you go with the FSA?

I am not sure of it being a 9 or a 10 (Cevelo Duel). But it has ultegra back and I bought a dura ace crank and bottom braket

Ergomo WILL work with Octalink (that's dura ace 9 speed) but not Dura Ace 10 speed cranks. That is one of the drawbacks if you want to run 10 speed cranks but the 9 speed and 10 speed cranks are interchangeable with the 10 speed set up in terms of gearing. See if you can find out if you have 10 speed or 9 speed cranks on there. If you have 9 speed then you would be all set. If not, you would have to make some changes....
