Subject: RE: hikers & triathletescdom - 2004-09-12 1:42 AM well, let me figure out how fit this 512 kb picture into a 100kb and ill send it. Anybody knows? I'm not sure what you have on your computer for digital photo management software, but most programs have a feature that let you "re-size" a photo. It's usually a hit or miss experiment, you need to resize it and save it under a different file name (so as not to over-write the original). Then by checking the properties of the resized photo, you can see the number of KB. If it's more than 100, just resize the original a bit smaller until you get it below 100, then you can submit that to the BBS. Usually somewhere around 300 x 400 pixels will be in the ballpark. One that I recently posted that was 375 x 417 pixels came out at 97 KB. It'll vary depending on certain details in the photo, but that should be a good starting point.
