Subject: Hello all
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and figured I should introduce myself. I have been training for my first triathlon for a couple of months and I'm actually starting to build some endurance.

I have to say that everyone here is a real motivation. I have taken quite a few tips to heart and hopefully I can contribute in the future.

I am registered for the Breezy Point Sprint Tri (Norfolk, VA), in June. I am considering entering another sprint in southern North Carolina at the beginning of May.

I am actually living in Newport, RI right now, so the outdoor training has been pretty slim. I'm a warm weather person. Lucky for me I will be going back to Virginia in May and then on to Jacksonville, FL for the next couple of years. I am in the Navy and only temporarily assigned to Newport, RI.

I do. I am a NCSU alumni. As a matter of fact, I was at the last speech he gave at Reynolds Coliseum, shortly before he died. His famous quote has served me well over the years and is actually pretty appropriate, for the folks on this site. "Don't give up, don't ever give up."
