SoftRide PowerWing 700 is LOADED and FAST.  Classic and intimidating Time Trial bike with Carbon HED 3 Tri Spoke race wheels.  Shimano components with a TruVativ Roleur compact crank which means wicked hill climbing power.  Giant Carbon fiber front fork. Ritchey Pro extended stem and Syntace aerobars. Selle Italia Flite seat mounted on the carbon beam. Xlab Tail with Profile Design bottle rack. Michelin Pro race tires.  This bike will get you up hills like you've never experienced and is aerodynamic beyond belief especially with Tri spoke carbon wheels.  This bike flys!  SoftRide was way ahead of it's time.  Just parking this in T1 will get you some looks.  With no rear frame and a compact crank, you will devour steep hills while staying down in aero position.  Stand up on this and hammer your downstroke and you are out of T1 like a rocket.

I've put on a new aero base bar, new full carbon brake levers, new wireless computer and some new cables.  Bike is for sale locally as well.

ooops, thanks.  medium.  although softrides have a greater fit range as the beam goes up and down as well as the seat moves front and back on the beam.

this aluminum bike is so hot that TJ Tollakson won this year's IM Lake Placid (4:33:30 on a hill-heavy course) on one.  Not a 2012 carbon formula 1 designed bike...but a SOFTRIDE!  OK TJ's was a carbon frame, but same exact design.

this article talks about the bike design

Good luck!

I think TJ rode a Zipp frame, not a softride at Lake Placid.  Similar design, but not the same bike.

Bottomline... this is a great bike.  If I didnt have too many in my garage, I would've made an offer.  The wheels alone must be a good $800 for the pair (if in excl condition).  New Hed3 go for $1200 or more.  Modernize the group and you've got a winner! Laughing  (don't mind the legs that need to power it upWink

-  Here's the scoop on TJ's LP-IM winning bike:  Tollakson’s recent win at Ironman Lake Placid using a 1996 Zipp beam frame bike for the cycling leg. Apparently, Tollakson has been winning quite a bit on his “vintage” bike. His frame may be over 15 years old, but the bike is built with newer technology like the Zipp Zedtech 808 Firecrest carbon front wheel and the Zipp Zedtech rear disk (both clinchers), a SRAM Red grouppo, and a power meter.
