Holy Crap...how would you find the time, or by Wednesday, how would you get out of bed?  I could not imagine a day where I would do that for a daily routine, but if you can hang with it, more power to ya!  I guess you will be passing me on the Tri course, unless of course, you forgot to taper and busted out that workout the week of the race.

Good luck on your challenge!

That is my goal daily. I have a lot of time on my hands as I work from home and have no set hours so my mornings are dedicated to training. I am a little worried about over use injuries but I will be closely monitored by my Doc who is a triathlete as well.

Galloway! I stumbled on your self-challenge and was totally impressed. That is, until I looked at your logs & saw NADA! Cmon man, if you're doing these work-outs consistently, that is something to be shouting from the roof-tops! Get the logs in!

Did you realize your livestrong page says you are going to compete in 15 IMs in 2008?

Sorry if I was one of those people you got ill at.  The challenge about your logs was thrown out on the sept challenge that I started....so I was just basically pointing it out so you could respond.

That being said....Dude! That is a serious goal .... 15 IM's in one year?!  Is that even possible?  I don't mean physically, but based on how many IM's are organized. Is it even possible to schedule that many?

To acheive that kind of goal, I think you need to look at your training plan.  I'm not sure a consistent daily schedule of 1mi swim, 10k run, and 24 bike (or something close to that) would be the recommended plan.  Typically there's a build up and taper for events.  You're plan, while very challenging, isn't going to provide the incremental build up for endurance and strength and the recovery.  At least according to the experts, which I'm not.

Can you share a little about how you came up with this plan.....?

Good luck to you however you decide to train...

Shawn,

No not ill with you. As far as the goal it can be done but very difficult to do there will be one month with 3 IM's in it and some with 2. My logistics plan will have to be flawless, and I will have to train like no bodies business. I recover quickly but still my training will be intense. I am working on a training plan by looking at Tri training Going Long by Gordo and Friel, and also researching Ultramarathoners and guys who do Deca's and Double Decas. I have been aware that my training plan was not adequate but would keep up a base until I get my plan together. As far as coming up with the plan I wanted to do something extreme in the sport besides doing Deca's and Double Deca's so I decided that 15 M-Dot events in one year, the most you could possibly do BTW would be my course of action. It is possible people have done more Iron Distance Events in one year I think 22 is the record but by doing doubles, Deca's, and even Double Deca's. But that is my goal and I know my training is going to have to get busy on it since I have IMMOO and hopefully get into IMFL 2007.
