Who else is doing this race? This is still my favorite race of the ones I have done so far.

I'm seriously thinking of doing this as my first tri.  Was comtemplating the Fit to Fight tri Julyl 12, but his would be much more convenient since I'm in findlay.  Would this be a good one for a first-timer?

Kewpee does have hamburgers and they also have Fat Jacks pizza after the race. I feel this is a very good race for beginners since the water is so clear. The swim is an out and back. The bike has a few small rolling hills. The run is an out and back with a few small hills. Last year it looked like to me that most of the people where beginners.

Are wetsuits typically used at this race?  may have to look into getting one or at least renting one if so.

Just recieved an email from the race director with the info/rules for this tri.  Looks like the swim portion is going to be shortened due to an alge problem.  Only  a little over 2 weeks away!!

Well how is your training coming along? I plan on taking Friday and Saturday off this week so my legs are ready. Last year this was the first tri I ever did. I hope to take about 6 min off of my time. Good luck this weekend. If you can find me make sure you say hi.

Training has been going well with the exception of this week.  I have come down with some kind of bug after running Monday and swimming Tuesday.  I have been unable to train since.  Hoping to be feeling better and be able to participate Sunday.  I had planned a bike/run brick today with a swim Friday, but not sure if that is going to happen.  Hopefully things start to look up...

Well how did your race go? I had a great time doing this race again this year. Other then the head wind on the way back into town it was almost a perfect day for me.

I ended up in 11th over all and 1st and my AG.

My race report is up.
