First 50-Miler!

 113 |  Subject: First 50-Miler!I did my first 50-mile bike ride ever this morning with a friend and a couple of his riding partners. I felt much better than I thought I would, and could easily have gone further. I started out with pretty dead legs because I had done an 8-mile run yesterday morning, but felt better and better as we went along. I was pretty happy with how it went. As I told my wife, "I think I'm starting to get into shape!" Anyway, just had to brag a little. |

Regular 241 | Subject: RE: First 50-Miler! That's awesome, I did my first 40 last week and really psyched about it. I think once you get past 20 or so you get that "runners high" on the bike and can just keep going. Same with running, the first few miles are always the hardest. |
