Subject: F3 Sprint Tri - Claremore (10/5/08)

This sprint tri is coming up in 2 weeks if anyone is interested. From what i understand, this is a new race this year. Fleet feet in Tulsa is hosting it.

I have signed up to compete...my first tri!

Figured I would post it here to see if anyone else was interested.

Were From BA, Thats what i heard I talked to Tim on Sat and he was telling me there was a Big hill right at the start. I had planned on going out there today to check out the pool and the course. First Tri for both of us..... We both did the Chris Brown Du back during the Summer and we Volunteered at the Tulsa Tri.

Awesome! Good luck to you guys, you will probably kick my tail on the bike, since that's possibly my weakest area, and I only have a Hybrid style bike (not a road or tt) to take on those hills.

Good luck to you too!! My only goal is to not drown in the pool!! and finish the same day i Start! Don't sell yourself short i've seen lots of fast people on Hybrids and Mountain bikes!!

Yep, picked em up this morning, before the shirts got there!! She's 108 and i'm 111 due to our illustrious swim times!

You? I guess there's 117 registered so far and there expecting maybe 20 more to sign up.

I'm #20. Got seeded there because swimming is my background and it's my best area. That means there are over 100 people that will probably pass me on the bike!

I was bummed about not getting my shirt with the packet. I'm gonna swing by there tomorrow on my lunch and grab it.

Are you guys planning to be there at 6:00am when the transition and sign-in open up? I am going to try to be there then, since this is my first one and I wanna give myself plenty of time to get lost and do otherwise silly first time things.

Well, how did you do? I haven't seen any official results yet online, only glanced at a sheet they had printed off there. I was 60th, with a total of 1:46:xx. My goal guesstimate was 1:45:00...so pretty close I guess.

I didn't drown! That was a good thing! Not sure what place but official time was 1:44:37 My swim time was almost 14 mins so i def have some work to do there! GF was 1:38 something 2nd in her AG Her swim time was much better than mine. I kept looking for your number but I never did see you! Congrats on the finish!! Official times are listed on Okrunner.com

All in all I had a blast, cant wait for the next one! I have already emailed a swim coach :-)
