Good afternoon all,

I was wondering where everyone is swimming at these days inside. I  typically swim inside hard 2 times a week, and outdoor swim once or twice a week in Wingra or Minona.

I am currently a member of Gold's gym, (pool not yet open) as well as Pinnacle (Pool under construction). I occasionally swim inside at Middleton High School, but that indoor pool is also being renovated/cleaned for the next 2 weeks. Anyone know of any other options. Looking fora 25 yard pool just to swim laps, etc for the next week or two while these other pools are being worked on.

Thanks,

Randy

They're not indoors - but both the Goodman pool and the Monona pool have lap swim time, as do most of the high school pools via MSCR.

Thanks- essentially that is even better. Much rather swim outside- just need a wall so i can swim/sprint etc.  I am thinking I will give Minona pool a try at lunch time tomorrow! Thanks for the info!

Ironically I am a member at Pinnacle and just joined Gold's.  I signed up for the 25 days for $25 membership at Harbor to wait out the opening of Golds which I think is going to take a while yet.  Pool is open 22 hours a day, closed 1-3AM for maintenance.  It is a good deal, the lanes are wide so even sharing is not an issue.  Most of the time,  I have a lane to myself.

Just called Gold's about the pool and was told they may open later this week.  The guy I spoke with said he heard Thursday and also heard Saturday.  He wasn't very convincing......  Just an FYI.

Does wonders for the tan I am actually going to try to head there tonight for a quick recovery swim- get some blood moving through my body again. completed IM Michigan 70.3 Saturday so it is time to revoer and then  build for IM Wisconsin!!

For anyone who doesn't know Minona Public pool is nice- and $4.

I'm seeing Mark tonight and I will ask him.  He is responsible for the pool programming and lessons.  He said there were issues between inspectors, but didn't expoound more than that....stay tuned.

Talked to Mark and he said it is likely that it will be open this weekend, but hadn't heard the outcome of the inspector meetings and that is what will determine timing.  Apparently they aren't disagreeing about anything important like pool balance, but lane markers, etc.  He said it was awesome. Rigged with underwater cameras, incredible lighting and the list goes on.  If he is excited so am I!

hey all...

i work at the Verona Natatorium...which is right next to the Verona Area HS. We have pretty decent open swim and lap swim times, times are kinda funky now due to the fact that we have some swim lessons on certain nights but i can't complain...Also check out fireman's park the place of the Verona Triterium...work there as well. Greatest open water swimming...crystal clear quarry...easy 500m loop

Good morning,

Anyone know if Gold's Gym's pool is open yet? Looking for a noon swim inside today and it appears to be a little complicated with the weather!
