Spent 11 years designing, building and testing the International Space Station. Then spent about 10 years working missile defense as a test engineering working both flight test and ground test. Worked a few years on the 787 program in Seattle and Singapore (during the battery disaster that grounded the fleet), a few other programs too. Most of my time as an engineer but also spend 7 years as a manager.
That's right, I remember you posting of being the first to sleep in the ISS! I was wondering if you had any involvement in the commercial airplane side of things, you do. Looks like you found a good fix on the battery issue. We haven't had any major problems in that area for quite some time now. I've been watching the reliability aspect of the "Plastic Princess" on our computers from afar. We don't fly the 787 into SAT, so unless there are weather diversions, I don't get to play with the airplane much. Really seems susceptible to lighting strikes and there's considerable more down time when it happens in comparison to aluminum fuselage jets. |
