Thanks. Keep in mind some of the quirks these animals might have. Our previous had been shot with a 22 and therefore scared of thunder and fireworks. She was also scared of electric tools, toothbrushes or anything that made a whirring noise. So far, this one seems pretty normal and didn't suffer any abuse. She is extremely sensitive though. My wife telling her she's being a bad dog ruins her day and she'll go lay down somewhere until the mood changes!
Years ago we had lightening strike the ground on our property. It killed both of my wife's horses. It did not kill our 2 dogs but after that they were both terrified of thunder. My guess it they got a terrible shock and for the rest of their lives will associate that shock with thunder as a Pavlovian response. |
