Hi there

next year i'm planning on doing:
Southwell Sprint Triathlon on 6th May
Mansfield Sprint Triathlon on 17th June
The Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon (Olympic Distance) on 5th August
Last minute Sprint in Southwell on 23rd September

I'd also like to do a second open water swim triathlon sometime in july or late august but haven't found the right one yet and maybe an early season duathlon (possibly the off-road mud sweat and gears in sherwood forest in april)

Southwell, mansfield and last minute tri's are organised by one step beyond (http://www.onestepbeyond.org.uk/)

Hi there

I only have a few races pencilled in at the moment. Its my first season so will see how I get on with these and then look for some others

22nd April - Tidworth Fast Twitch
(400m pool swim/16mile/4.5mile)

30th June - Timex Women's Only Triathlon (Human Race Event)
Dorney Lake Eton
(800m open water / 19mile bike / 4.5mile)

Possibly
15th July - City of Bath Triathlon
(olympic distance)

9th Sept - Bristol Half Marathon.

Not confirmed for the Bath one yet but its my club's race so really should enter. I would like an olympic distance in july/aug.

Adam - I'm from the Coventry area originally (Nuneaton and Coventry) so I know the region fairly well, just wondered what the Warwick Triathlon is like - have you done it before? I may give the september one as a go as i can use the opportunity to visit me Nan at the same time By the way are you a student at Uni of Warwick? I used to work there once upon a time.
thanks
Jess

Hi Adam

The Warwick triathlon sounds good, i might put it on next years calendar - it think it clashes with the bristol half so might have to miss this it time around. But thanks for the info, I'll definately bear it in mind.

I was bought up in walsgrave area of coventry, we also moved to Nuneaton when I was 9yr (I'm 28yr now), to Galley Common area and I was sent to St Thomas More school - which I'm sure you'll know?
I went travelling after a-levels and at 19yr I bought my first house returning to the walsgrave area in cov. I staying there for 5years or so, and then moved to moved to Worcester with my OH, until last year when we moved to Somerset.

So I imagine we have quite a few places in common, probably both in Nuneaton and Coventry. As mentioned I worked at the University in the Student's Union Marketing dept for a couple of years quite some time ago now. It really seems a great place to live and study so hope you get to stay on - good luck!!

I'm currently doing:

Reading Half Marathon on 25th March: www.asicsreadinghalfmarathon.co.uk

Hungerford Fast Twitch on 1st April (400/14m/4m): www.conceptsport.co.uk

Lymington Triathlon on 29th April (400/17/4): www.beaconleisure.co.uk

After that I'm off to Singapore for 3 months on secondment, but I'd like to get one open water race in when I get back.  I think I'll probably wait and see what access to training facilities I have before I commit myself, but I think there is an oly at Dorney Lake I might look at in September.
