Great pics and great job with your first tri.  I know I saw you on the run and I think you were racked near TrishM.  I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you.  TrishM and I looked for you by the bathrooms around 5:30pm.  We must've missed each other.  We'll have to meet at your next tri.  It sounds like you are hooked.

Great job Lisa!  It is funny that we were 4 bikes away from each other!

I am happy to have met you and look forward to seeing you around!   Again, great job!

Thanks to all for the nice words of encouragement. I had hopes that my overall strength training would carry me through the swim. I guess it worked!

Now, it's back to the gym for more workouts, brick workouts, swims, etc.

Wonder which tri I'll go for next?!

Hi Lisa, and congrats on your "first" of many to come!

You know where Port Huron is, being an ex-thumby, so you may wish to check out the Blue Water Tri next Sunday, the 24th. If the swim is still a nemesis for you, which I now doubt, I believe you'll be able to touch bottom most all of the way. 'Dont know yet, though. It'll be a beautiful flat run, and the bike will take you west...out of town and back.
Whadya say?

I've been thinking about this one, but isn't it an Oly distance? With only one sprint tri under my belt and minimal training, I hate to get in over my head (no pun intended) :D

The Bluewater is a sprint also-500m swim, 16k bike, 5k run.  It should be nice because of the shorter swim.

I think I'd like to go to this to watch only.  I just started training but want to run next year.  Any good spots to spectate from?  Plan on bringin my new HD camcorder.

Might be motivational!!

Yeah! After the swim, the exit of T1 is always an exciting spot! Get to that spot as the athletes are scrambling for their bikes, it's a ball !
Then there's ANYWHERE along the bike route to shoot. Personally, I would stay there and catch the leaders as they get ready for the run, and then you should drive down to the Blue Water Bridge, (south about a mile +/-) and park there. That is gonna be some beautiful scenery with Lake Huron funneling down into the St. Clair River. Canada is right there, you may even get a ship or two in the back drop.

As a note: The Oly swimmers will start first, followed by the Sprint folks about 20 minutes or so later. Logistically, the Sprint bike leaders will be the first ones back to transition since the Oly riders have further to ride.

You should check this one out...you'll be ready for them next year!
