Subject: RE: Trek Women's Tri Mount Snow Aug 9?This is the first year for it, and first triathlon at Mount Snow. I live in the area, so I was psyched to sign up since I usually need to travel to get to races.
I got an email the other day that they are looking for swim sisters, or swim angels, if you don't end up signing up. Check with your friend, she might have gotten an email about signing up friends, they were offering gift certificates for referring, though it looks like the offer expired, but you never know, maybe they'd honor it.
The swim is in a tiny puddle called Snow Lake, I imagine they will have to keep the waves small, otherwise the width of 100 women would take up the width of the lake.
The bike course is beautiful and a good challenge, some hills and rollers, and the run will have some hills, but is short.
There's a mountain bike festival taking place there the same weekend, and I just hope Mount Snow and Trek work out all the safety and travel logistics, but maybe that's why the race is so early. |
