Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: Comey's 'bombshell' book I think the word 'bombshell' is more overused than 'breaking news'. Isn't news, by definition, breaking? If you really want people to 'stay tuned' tease with "Breaking new bombshell exclusive...." So this is being covered everywhere: "Comey says Trump asked if he could disprove salacious prostitute allegations in 'dossier'" I'm just scratching my head. I'm waiting for a reporter to as Comey, "Since you used the dossier to get a FISA warrant wasn't it your job to validate, corroborate or disprove the dossier as part of your job! Did the FBI exercise due diligence concerning the dossier before taking it to a FISA court?" The mud will be flying in DC when the book hits the streets. It's already starting. Personally I'm more looking forward to the IG report....which I put a little more stock in than someone playing CYA and trying to sell books. Edited by Rogillio 2018-04-13 8:26 AM |

The MSNBC/CNN, democrats, anti-Trumpers, the ResistTrump movement.... Comey indicated there was 'classified' data that email investigation critics would use to suggest Lynch has a COI so he had to step in and save the day! The fact that the DOJ is actively investigating the Clinton email investigation should Lynch concerned. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Comey's 'bombshell' book Mueller has 17+ lawyers, 11 months of investigation, hundreds of witnesses, thousands of documents, millions of dollars. House had 2 committees doing investigations Senate investigations IG investigation FBI investigations MSM has thousands of investigative journalists digging and probing for a bombshell And? Drum roll please......still no proof of a Trump/Russian conspiracy. Wha, wha, whan.....Go figure. "Sorry folks, no conspiracy here. What do we have for them Bob for playing along?" "We have a set of used steak knives and brand new tinfoil hats for all the willful idiots in the media!" If Trump conspired with the Russians he did it so brilliantly that none of these entities have been able to uncover or prove it. But of course, Trump is a moron and inept. How could he pull this off? Which is it, innocent moron or brilliant Houdini conspirator? |

Pro 15655 | Subject: RE: Comey's 'bombshell' book Oh I think there are plenty of morons to go around......but anybody who thinks Donald Trump, a political neophyte, colluded or conspired with the Russians to turn the election in his favor is truly special. But, by all means, since there is obviously nowhere to go with the Russian idea, let's see if we can get him for paying someone to be quiet about an affair he had......because that right there is REALLY serious stuff. Because.....gee....playmates and porn stars having a tryst with a billionaire/millionaire is really new and cutting edge stuff.....I don't think it's ever happened in the history of mankind. HAHAHA!! I was thinking the same thing. When did paying hush money become illegal? My tinfoil hat theory is they found evidence that Cohen 'laundered money' from the campaign to pay Stormy and the Playboy gal. That would be a felony I suppose? If all they have is campaign finance violation they would have presumably referred the case to the FEC. OTOH, they know the FEC is made up of equal dems and reps and have been gridlocked for years. To convince a judge to issue the warrant they probably had to show evidence of money laundering or bank fraud. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Comey's 'bombshell' book “I think impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office would let the American people off the hook..." Good lord, the arrogance of this is astounding. IOWs, rather than right a wrong, he thinks the American people should be punished and have to live their mistake.....next time they will know better. I'm not for impeaching Trump but if they find "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" then he absolutely needs to be impeached....regardless of how much Comey wants to punish America. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Comey's 'bombshell' book I'm thinking the more Comey talks the more he looks like a disgruntled employee and he diminishes his value to Mueller as being a credible witness for any Mueller obstruction charge. All the 'defense' (if it ever came to that) would only have to do is prove Comey lied and leaked when he was head of the FBI, his credibility is shot. |

Comey did something only very, very few people have been able to do....he brought both parties together in their universal hatred of him. The sad part is, even though both parties though he should be fired, the Democrats still argued about it. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Comey's 'bombshell' book https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/25/politics/james-comey-anderson-cooper-... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2018/04/23/comey-the... Per the CNN interview: "The details matter because the facts matter, and should matter even to the President," Comey explained, adding that he had chosen to classify some memos but not all of them. "Some of those memos I decided should be classified. Four others, I wrote them and was highly confident they should not be classified. Those four I kept a copy at the FBI and a copy at my personal safe at home." If he kept 4 letters in his safe at home and one of them was classified that is against the law. Learned last night he also gave the memos to another person also....and maybe a 3rd. Regardless of what he believed was the right thing to do, he want about it the wrong way. He could have....no, should have given his memos to Congress and let them deal with it. He could have given it to the DOJ or to the IG. But he chose to use the media and make it a political thing to force the SC. Putting on my tin hat and being naturally skeptical of suspicious.....my 'conspiracy theory' is after he learned Clinton lost he knew he was in deep kimshee! He knew eventually everything was going to come out and his only defense was a good offense. So he started making 'contemporaneous' note written in such a way to make it look like Trump was attempting to obstruct justice. Seriously, if you have a private meeting with someone, you can write whateverthehell you want to write about what 'happened' especially if you are in a CYA mindset. |
