No, it's cool if you are ready to be done with tri's for awhile.  Of course you could always bike, swim on your "rest" days from your run training - ya know . . . . just in case you change your mind.

Nope, not crazy.  I was thinking of doing something similar.  Except my next, last, and only tri of the remaining season will be the Autumn Colors, and I'll be training for a marathon.  There is a young Dr. at our church that had a quadruple bypass last winter.  He is now training for a marathon.  I think I'd like to share that with him.  Not positive yet, but strongly considering.

What is it about marathons?

While I was running Grand Rapids last year I swore I'd never do another...

then 6 months later I signed up for a 50K   Its like race amneisia.

Actually, since I hurt my foot earlier this year I've had a hard time getting ready for anything.  I'm still tentatively planning on doing the Lansing Legislator Oly. distance in August, I'm already signed up for the Legend 10 mile trail run on 8/1, I'm signed up for Dances with Dirt, and I am just beginning my training for my very first full marathon, the Detroit Free Press Marathon on 10/18.

So, mostly running for me from here on out too.

I am also kicking around the idea of doing the Detroit Marathon. I am doing a couple of tri's in August but other than those it will be all running races.

I was out there, at Herron last week.  There are some pretty big holes in that bike course.  If the lane is divided, the side coming back from the bottom loop is wasted at the top of the last hill.

The T-rex will be my last tri of the year as well. Im also doing the Detroit marathon I just signed up the other day. Did the half last year so figured i might as well go for the full thing see how it goes.

Running is a mental sport...and we're all insane! I think you should go for it.
