Name- Andrea

Story-  My first olympic distance triathlon ever is this September.  I start my 20 week training program on Monday.  I'm scared to death of the open water swim and feel generally overwhelmed by the entire thing!  My experience with racing is anything but vast.  I've participated in a few half marathons, a few 10k, and one duathlon.  Needless to say, I feel a little in over my head, but I'm determined to see this through.

I've been married for 7 years to the most incredible man alive and we have two amazing little boys.  I'm looking forward to participating in this mentoring program and hope it will give me the encouragement and know-how to make this triathlon experience a good one.

Thanks!

I am 28 yrs old and have been married for 6 yrs now; we have 3 wonderful children all under the age of 5. I am a warehouse manager at a local supply house and work a lot of hours which leaves little time for training but I run on lunch breaks and on the weekend I try to run a long run. I will have a new bike in about 2 weeks and will add that into my weekly plan starting in January. I got the itch to do a tri after I watched the Kona World Championship in October. I have engrossed myself into the lifestyle of a triathlete completely. I aim to complete 3 races next year, money allowing! I will sign up for my first race in January, which will be held here in Alabama in May. I am here for guidance, tips, and everything tri! Maybe I will see some of you next year out on the course.
