Manchester Road Race - Run

Comments: The run started as a walk and it took ~4:40 to get to the start line. The whole run was one of dodging and weaving around other people that suddenly decide to stop running and start walking. Running the downhill I could only speed up in very short sections, but I didn't really have anything left at the end of the race anyways. I smiled for my picture and it was fun. What would you do differently?: Train for longer before the race to become seeded and move to the front so I would have to dodge so many people. Post race Warm down: Drank a couple of bottles of water and walk back to my friends house with my daughter who met me at the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: The crowds Event comments: The bad part of this race is that my wife Lori trained the whole time with me and got a virus the day before which gave her veritgo. She was stuck at home with the kids. I really missed having her there with me. I'm looking forward to running this race next year a much improved pace and with my wife. I walk to the race with two other couple that are friends from church. It was a packed line up, we entered into the line up not too far after the 40 min+ sign.
walking to the event was enough of a warm up for me
